BRAZIL - ESPERANCA (PULPED ANAEROBIC NATURAL)

Esperança Farm has been a part of Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro region for more than three decades, but its latest chapter is being written by a new generation. Deyvid, grandson of founder Jose Maria, grew up on the farm and was learning the craft of coffee production alongside his grandfather from the age of 12. Curious about how coffee is experienced beyond Brazil, he later spent time in Canada before returning home to focus on quality and coffee production. Along the way, he has participated in the Cup of Excellence six times and served as a coffee judge, tasting some of Brazil’s most celebrated coffees. Those experiences now help guide the family farm, shaping coffees that reflect both the character of Cerrado and a lifelong pursuit of quality.
