CHINA - FUYAN (NATURAL)

Yunnan is a picturesque, mountainous province in the south-western corner of China and is the primary coffee-growing region, accounting for 98% of the country's coffee production. The area is known for its large cultural diversity and is home to twenty-five different ethnic minority groups. In the late 1800s, coffee was first brought to Yunnan by French missionaries, and the region became the birthplace of coffee cultivation in China. Over the past decade, there has been a significant shift towards specialty coffee production, with small farms in Yunnan producing exceptional lots, leading the way and making it one of the most exciting up-and-coming coffee regions in Asia.
