COLOMBIA - EL MERIDIANO (WASHED)

El Meridiano comes from the smallholder farmers of Herrera, a remote high mountain community in southern Tolima. Their farms sit near the Paramo del Meridiano, an Andean ecosystem that feeds the Hereje River and shapes the cool, misty conditions the coffee grows in. These producers tend small plots with a mix of traditional and newer varieties, supported by rich soils, abundant water, and a strong culture of environmental care. Careful washed processing is the backbone here, with some farmers experimenting gently with extended fermentations. The cup is bright and lively, showing citrus and red fruit with panela sweetness and a calm, rounded finish.
