COLOMBIA - ELENA MARTINEZ (WASHED)

Elena Martinez has spent her entire life growing coffee in Suaza, Huila, continuing a coffee tradition that began with her grandparents. At Finca Peñas Blanca she manages much of the farm herself, supported by a small team of pickers during harvest. This lot highlights her Pink Bourbon, a variety increasingly celebrated in Colombia for its clarity and elegant structure in the cup. After careful cherry selection, the coffee undergoes a gentle anaerobic fermentation before being slowly dried in a solar marquesina. The result is a rounded cup with gentle malic acidity and a smooth, toffee-like sweetness.
