INDIA - RATNAGIRI RT LBS 1 (NATURAL)

Ratnagiri Estate has been in the Patre family for nearly a century, producing both specialty coffee and fine pepper in Chikmagalur. Today, Ashok and Divya are taking it global, combining heritage with cutting-edge science. RT-LBS 1 is a vivid example: this Chandragiri natural was fermented for 41 hours in custom-built bioreactors with carefully selected microbes, then dried slowly on raised beds before finishing in a dark room. The result of this fermentation-heavy process is bold and expressive, with plenty of fruit-driven character. Remarkably clean yet adventurous, the cup is sparkly, sweet, and syrupy, full of personality that reflects Ratnagiri’s precision and vision.
