KENYA - KIANGUNDO (WASHED)

Kiangundo sits in Kenya’s former Central Province, a region shaped by fertile soils, smallholder farming, and a strong cooperative tradition. This lot is grown by second-generation farmers in the region, combining traditional SL28/SL34 with small amounts of disease-resistant Ruiru 11 and Batian—hybrids bred for quality and resilience. Handpicked cherries are meticulously sorted, weighed, and washed with fresh Ragati River water. After fermentation and soaking to enhance complexity, beans are sun-dried on raised beds for up to three weeks, then rested for a month to stabilise flavour. Expect a vibrant, sweet cup with layered acidity—thanks to rigorous post-harvest practices and Kenya’s heritage of precision processing.
