BURUNDI - BUMBA HILL (NATURAL)

Burundi coffee, often overlooked despite its quality, is gaining recognition thanks to Long Miles Coffee. The company supports local farmers through traceable, ethical practices and regional washing stations. Using a farmer card system, it tracks contributions down to individual hills, ensuring both quality and accountability. For years, growers on Bumba Hill endured long treks—over three hours—to access fair processing facilities. In 2024, Long Miles transformed this reality by opening the Ninga Washing Station nearby, providing fair pricing and reducing travel. This milestone enabled the production of the area's first naturally processed coffees, marking a new era for Burundi’s specialty coffee scene.
