BURUNDI - IZUBA (WASHED)
Izuba meaning “sun” is located in the Kayanza Province of Burundi. The washing station is situated near a river which provides clean water for the washing process of this coffee. The station ensures high quality by providing farmers with premiums for quality harvests as well as intense sorting procedures to eliminate any defected beans. This coffee undergoes a washed process where it is fermented for 12 hours, washed, then dried for 20 days. This provides a clean and balanced cup with notes of Rockmelon, Lime and Honey.
