BURUNDI - MUNYINYA (NATURAL)

This natural process coffee comes from Munyinya Hill in the Muramvya Province in Burundi. Here, Long Miles Coffee Project works alongside local farmers to improve sustainable practices such as planting shade trees, seasonally mulching their land and pruning trees, all to enhance the quality of coffee produced in the area. During the natural process that this coffee underwent, cherries were floated and hand-sorted. Quality cherries were dried on drying tables for 25-30 days in their skin, gradually changing colour to a deep purple-black when fully dry. This coffee provides sweet notes of red grape, mango and cream.
