Back for a second year, Mandomashe is a coffee we’re very happy to see return through our relationship with Commonfolk Coffee and Communal Shamba. This season’s lot is tasting wonderful for espresso, with a clean, sweet profile, gentle fruit and lovely balance in the cup.

Keremba Warioba returned to Tanzania after spending time in Melbourne’s specialty coffee community, bringing that passion home through Communal Shamba. Wherever he goes, quality follows. In Mbozi, he’s helped bring together the farmers of Mandomashe, a newly formed cooperative taking its first steps toward independence. Communal Shamba supports the community with costly farming inputs before harvest, while helping establish shared processing standards and a clearer path to market. The result is a partnership built on more than producing great coffee. It’s about giving a young cooperative the tools and confidence to back themselves, and we’re excited to see where they go next.
