Master Your V60 Pour-Over ☕
Brewing clean, flavorful coffee at home is all about technique. Follow these simple steps, refine your pour, and most importantly—enjoy every cup!

WHAT YOU NEED
Coffee: Filter Roast
Amount: 16g
Grind: Medium-Coarse
Water: 250ml
STEP ONE — GRIND YOUR COFFE
Grind your coffee on a medium-course setting (finer than plunger but courser than Aeropress). Out of 10 you want to be around 6 or 7. (1 being the finest, 10 being the coarsest). Note: Each grinder is different and requires dialling in.

STEP TWO — WET FILTER AND PRE-HEAT
Select a stable good-sized mug/vessel. Pre-wet your paper filter in the brewing device with hot water and let it drip through to the vessel to help pre-heat everything.

STEP THREE — ADD COFFEE AND BLOOM
Set everything onto a brewing scale, Add your coffee into the bottom and centre of the V60. Zero out your scale. Start the timer, add the hot water (95o) to 40grams, carefully stir the grinds ensuring everything is saturated. This is the bloom stage, wait until 00:30 secs.

STEP FOUR — POUR
Once you hit 00:30 secs, then add 100g more water in a slow circular motion being sure to land the water stream onto the coffee/water not on the side of the brewer. Wait until 01:30 then add the remaining 100g water in the same way.

STEP FIVE — DRAW DOWN
Monitor the time that the water stops pouring through and starts to drip, then pull the brewer of the vessel. It should be finished by 02:30 (give or take 10 secs). If it was much longer, you’ll need to either go for a coarser grind or pour a bit faster. If it finishes a lot sooner, try a finer grind or slow down and split up your pouring amounts from 100g to 50g, lesser amount more frequently, aiming for the same total water and time at the end.

STEP SIX — ENJOY & EXPLORE
Pour into a cup of choice and enjoy straight up. A well executed v60 can put a smile on most people's faces! Experiment with different coffee’s — the quality of the coffee really reveals itself in this brewing method, so opt for higher quality, more complex filter roasts for the best results.
