PERU - CERRO AZUL (NATURAL)

 

Efrain Carhuallocllo and his wife Maria Flor are both second generation coffee farmers. Today they grow coffee in their own farm ‘El Cerro Azul’ along with their daughter who is a third generation coffee farmer. Efrain and his family have a big focus on producing high quality coffee. This focus and hard work has resulted in good infrastructure and quality growing and processing methods. Efrain and Maria Flor begin processing their coffee by sorting and selecting properly ripe cherries. They then undergo an extensive natural process method where they are fermented in airtight bags for 48 hours and patio dried for up to 40 days. This labour is a reflection of their passion to produce high quality coffee. Their coffee has notes of pineapple, coconut and lime.
