BUMBA HILL BURUNDI (NATURAL)
This is our first year featuring Bumba Hill from Long Miles Coffee in Burundi. It’s a seriously remote part of the country, and the coffee is just as wild. Straight out of the drum, the smell of this natty had us looking at each other with big silly grins saying, “Oh my goodness, that smells delishh!”
We’re super impressed with the Long Miles Project — their commitment to quality and support of Burundi is something we’re very proud to stand behind.!

Burundi coffee, often overlooked despite its quality, is gaining recognition thanks to Long Miles Coffee. The company supports local farmers through traceable, ethical practices and regional washing stations. Using a farmer card system, it tracks contributions down to individual hills, ensuring both quality and accountability. For years, growers on Bumba Hill endured long treks—over three hours—to access fair processing facilities. In 2024, Long Miles transformed this reality by opening the Ninga Washing Station nearby, providing fair pricing and reducing travel. This milestone enabled the production of the area's first naturally processed coffees, marking a new era for Burundi’s specialty coffee scene.
